Sytje^3 Van Wicklen
(Evert Jansz^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes) was born about 1692 in New Lots, Flatbush, Long Island. She married Hans Jorisz Bergen 16 August 1711 in Midwout (Flatbush), Long Island. Hans was born about August 1684 and bap. 31 August 1684 in New Utrecht, New Amsterdam. Hans died before 1 October 1726 in Hemptstead, Long Island. Hans and Sitje were married in their parents’ home. They then lived on the future site of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and ran a grist mill there 1713-1723. In 1723 they sold half the property and moved to Hempstead, Long Island.

Children: Joris^4 (George) Bergen was born 9 October 1712 Long Island, NY and died 13 October 1784 in Cranbury New Jersey. He married Grietje Dumont on 3 June 1738, married Maria Probasco on 14 September 1744, and m. Mareya Van Nuys on 22 August1771. Meetje^4 Bergen married Abraham Dumont. Evert^4 Bergen was born 1717 in Long Island, NY and died 17 November 1776 in Hillsborough Township, Somerset County, NJ. Evert^4 married Jannetje Hegeman.
